Portage Municipal Airport (FAA LID: C47) is a city owned public use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) northwest of the central business district of Portage, a city in Columbia County, Wisconsin, United States.[1] It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2015–2019, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.[2]

Facilities and aircraft

Portage Municipal Airport covers an area of 106 acres (43 ha) at an elevation of 824 feet (251 m) above mean sea level. It has two runways with asphalt surfaces: 17/35 is 3,768 by 60 feet (1,148 x 18 m) and 4/22 is 2,559 by 40 feet (780 x 12 m).[1]

For the 12-month period ending July 29, 2015, the airport had 4,750 aircraft operations: 95% general aviation, 1% air taxi and 4% military. In 2016, there were 26 aircraft based at this airport: 24 single-engine, 1 multi-engine and 1 jet.[1]
