Pusamania Borneo Football Club is an Indonesian football club based in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. They currently compete in the Indonesia Super League. Their nickname is Pesut Etam (Irrawaddy Dolphin).[1]

History

Pusamania Borneo F.C. was formed by former Putra Samarinda supporters who were dissatisfied with their team's lack of achievements.[2] PT Nahusam Pratama Indonesia bought Perseba Super Bangkalan on March 7, 2014, which gave them direct license to compete in the 2014 Liga Indonesia Premier Division, and changed the name to Pusamania Borneo F.C..[3][4]

After beating PSGC Ciamis on penalties in the 2014 Liga Indonesia Premier Division semifinal, they were promoted to the Indonesia Super League.[5] On November 27, 2014, Pusamania Borneo won their first title by becoming champion of the 2014 Liga Indonesia Premier Division after beating Persiwa Wamena 2–1 in the final.[6]

Sponsorship

Suzuki signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Pusamania Borneo F.C. on April 22, 2014.[7] On May 2, 2014, Bankaltim became their shirt sponsor for home and away matches.[8]

Stadium

Pusamania Borneo F.C. play their home matches at Segiri Samarinda Stadium.[11] They use Sempaja Stadium for training.[12]
