Quassinoid

Quassinoids are a group of natural chemical compounds classified as diterpenoids. They are bitter principles found in plants in the Simaroubaceae family. The prototypical member of the group, quassin, was first isolated in the 19th century from plants of the genus Quassia from which it gets its name.[1]
