R. S. Vimal
R. S. Vimal is an Indian filmmaker who works in Malayalam cinema. He is best known for his critically acclaimed debut directorial venture Ennu Ninte Moideen which became a box-office blockbuster. The film was based on the real-life story of Moideen and Kanchanamala, which took place in the 1960s in Mukkam, Kozhikode.[1]
Prior to making his feature directorial debut, Vimal made a documentary on the same subject, titled Mukkam. Vimal's second directorial venture, Karnan, an epic historical film based on the Mahabharata, was launched in Dubai in January 2016.[2][3]
