Raisani is a Baloch tribe in Balochistan they are very influencial and also play a major role in Pakistan especially Balochistan.Raisani is a Brahui-speaking tribe in Balochistan. The ancestor of the Raisani tribe, Rais Qutabuddin, came from Iraq. According to a saying Baloch tribes migrated from Halab/Aleppo. Rais migrated to Afghanistan. He settled for a limited time in Ziarat "Qawas" (Some historians believe that his tomb is located at Ziarat). Many Raisani live in Ziarat, speaking Pashtodue to influence from their surroundings. Rais Qutabuddin may have come to Chaapar in Kalat with his siblings. The leader of each tribe is called Sardar. The Raisani tribal chief is called the Chief of Sarawan. The present Chief of Sarawan and Nawab of Raisani Tribe is Nawab Aslam Raisani. The Raisanis live in Mastung, Bolan, Sibi,Ziarat, Mitrhi. The principal sections into which the tribe is divided are the Ráhusainzai, Rustamzai, Sirajzai, Sahizai and Jamalzai. (All of them named after brothers and sons)

Currently Jamalzais head is Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani son of Nawabzada Siraj Khan Raisani who is the brother of Chief of Sarawan, Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani. Jamalzai is a sub sub clan of Sirajzai as both father and son are the head of their Sub clan and sub sub clan.
