Recluse is a small unincorporated community in Campbell County, Wyoming, United States. The origin of how Recluse was named is as follows:
""Well, we've got one that was abandoned over here in western South Dakota on the Indian Reservation. It's called Recluse."...So that's what they took. That's how Recluse got its name to start with, from the post office over there in South Dakota.".[2] The Recluse post office remains active and was started in 1924.[3]
