Other data
RNA type Cis-reg; leader
Domain(s) Bacteria
SO 0000233

This family is a putative ribosomal protein leader autoregulatory structure[1] found in B. subtilis and other low-GC Gram-positive bacteria. It is located in the 5' untranslated regions of mRNAs encoding ribosomal protein L21, a protein of unknown function, and ribosomal protein L27 (rplU-ysxB-rpmA).

Other ribosomal protein leaders identified in the same study include those for L10, L13, L19 and L20.[1]
