Roshan Sitara (Urdu: روشن ستارہ) is a 2012 Pakistani drama series directed by Siraj ul Haq, written by Sarwat Nazeer and produced by Abdullah Kadwani & Humayun Saeed.[1] It began airing from 14 May 2012 on Hum TV.[2]
Plot
Roshan Sitara is the story of love involving two generations. The first generation is of the cousins Roshan Ara (Sanam Baloch) and Mansoor, while the second generation consists of Momin and Sitara . Due to her mother’s(Samina Peerzada) pressure, Roshan Ara gets married to a businessman Hakim Ali. Mansoor dies of a broken heart upon getting departed from Roshan Ara, while his younger brother, who is very attached to Roshan is shocked upon his brother’s death. His mother decides to send him to U.S,so that he can come out of the shock at his brother's demise . Meanwhile, Roshan Ara discovers that her husband is already married.
Hakim Ali’s first wife is extremely cruel to Roshan Ara, who passes away after giving birth to Sitara. Sitara gets constantly menaced and ridiculed by her step mother until she is sent off to live with her maternal grand mother’s house where her aunt looks after her.
Later, Momin returns to Pakistan after 20 years and falls in love with Sitara. But her grandmother wants Momin to get married to Sitara’s aunt Iffat. Meanwhile, Hakim Ali misses his daughter and comes back to take her with him.
