Rupakot is a village development committee in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4765 people living in 937 individual households.[1]

Janajyoti Gram Sewa Sammittee Rupakot-5, (www.janajyoti.org.np) is another non profit social organization established with the mission of providing welfare schemes in the quality education health care and promoting the status of Nepalese in rural communities by improve the quality of life for poor children . It has focused in the field of school, community, health, education, culture social construction as well as drinking water.
