National selection controversy

There are some controversies over the Russian national selection. This was because a large amount of the songs in the National Selection are breaching the rules of Junior Eurovision. The songs breached the regulations in the following ways;[1]

On 14 October 2008 the Russian entry was allocated place 4 to perform in at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
