Ryōta Tsuzuki (都築 龍太 Tsuzuki Ryōta, born April 18, 1978 in Heguri, Nara) is a retired Japanese footballer player. who played as a Goalkeeper.

Playing career

After graduating from Kunimi High School in Nagasaki, he joined J. League side Gamba Osaka in 1997. He made his professional debut on November 11, 1998 at Osaka Expo '70 Stadium. He became the first choice 'keeper in 2000 dislodging Hayato Okanaka but he was transferred to Reds at the end of the 2002 season after a row with manager Akira Nishino. At Reds, he battles with Norihiro Yamagishi for the position.

He made his international debut for Japan on June 4, 2001 in a FIFA Confederations Cup match against Brazil at Kashima Soccer Stadium. He has been capped three times.

It announced one's retirement on January 18, 2011.[1]
