Ryszard Komornicki (born 14 August 1959 in Ścinawa) is a retired Polish footballer, who was most recently the manager of FC Chiasso.

Football career

Mainly a defensive midfielder in his playing days, Komornicki played for GKS 71 Tychy and Górnik Zabrze in his native country, then moved to Switzerland at the age of 30, where he played for FC Aarau, FC Wohlen and FC Kickers Luzern (he played with the latter well into his 40's, acting as the side's player-manager).

He played for the Polish national team on 20 occasions, and was a participant at the 1986 FIFA World Cup, appearing in all three group stage matches (one win, one loss and one draw). In 1998, Komornicki took up coaching, first starting with modest Swiss outfits – the first former club Wohlen. After a brieft return stint in his country with Górnik, he returned to Switzerland to take the reins of another side he played for, FC Aarau. He returned to Górnik Zabrze in June 2009.
