Słup [swup] (German: Schlaup) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Męcinka, within Jawor County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 km (5 mi) north-west of Jawor, and 66 km (41 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław. The village has a population of 230.
Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
