Marthammanahalli Satish Kumar Akash (born on 13/03/1997 to a Sankethi family) is a Hindustani Classical flautist of India.[1]

Early life

Akash, son of Sri M N Satish Kumar & Smt Vani Satish who started showing interest in music at the age of three and half years, hails from a family of musicians and music lovers. At the age of four, he was put under the tutelage of Pandit Venkatesh Godhkindi, a renowned flutist. At the early age itself, though not able to follow music notations in writing, he was able to grasp subtle intricacies of music.

He is a student of 12th standard studying in Bangalore. Presently, he is under the tutelage of Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi and Pandit Ronu Majumdar.

Career

Akash was the winner of the Idea Jalsa National Talent Hunt Winner. He has been performing solo since 2005. He performed at Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh Hydrabad.
