Salma Agha
Salma Agha is a Pakistani British singer and actress of Indo-Pak origin[1] who sang as well as acted in Indian films in the 1980s and the early 1990s. Her first film was the romance Nikaah for which she won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for the ghazal "Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye".
Early life and career
Agha was born to Nasreen (born as Zarina Ghaznavi) and Liaqat Gul Aga.[2] Her father was a successful businessman dealing in rugs. Her maternal grandparents are actor Jugal Kishore Mehra and actress Anwari Begum who starred in the first ever made Heer Ranjha (1932). Her maternal grandfather was Rafiq Ghaznavi. Nasreen was later adopted by Jugul Kishore Mehra, who converted to Islam and took on the name Ahmed Salman. Jugul Kishore Mehra was the cousin of Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor.[3][4][5]
Personal life
Salma Agha was married to Pakistani squash player Rahmat Khan in 1989. They have two children together-Sasha Agha and Liaqat Ali Khan. In 2010, they got divorced. Agha got married to Manzar Shah in 2011.
