Dr. Sambit Patra (born December 13, 1974) is a surgeon and an Indian politician. He is a member and the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[1][2] In 2006 he founded Swaraj, an NGO which aimed to support the backward community, such as dalits, in cleanliness and health care facilities; the NGO mainly comprises doctors, lawyers and some police officers.[3]

Career

Sambit Patra is a surgeon[4] by profession and represents the state of Odisha in the central committee of BJP, chaired by National President Amit Shah. He serves as the spokesperson of BJP from 2010 to the current date.[5]
