Samborek [samˈbɔrɛk] (German: Lauterwalde) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubomino, within Lidzbark County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Lubomino, 22 km (14 mi) west of Lidzbark Warmiński, and 34 km (21 mi) north-west of the regional capital Olsztyn.
While traditionally Prussian, with the Second Peace of Thorn in 1466 the area became part of the Kingdom of Poland until 1772; 1772-1945 Kingdom of Prussia and Germany (East Prussia).
