D. Sathyaprakash (also known as Sathyaprakash) is an Indian playback singer, and rose to fame after finishing as a runner up on the musical talent reality TV show, Airtel Super Singer.

Early life and singing career

Sathyaprakash was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. At the age of 8, with the support of his grandfather, he began Carnatic vocal classes with the late Kannaiah Naidu. He later studied with Smt. Selvakumari for about two years.

In 1999, Sathyaprakash performed at a school contest and was noticed by Chitra, a development officer with Life Insurance Corporation of India, who was one of the judges. Chitra arranged for Sathyaprakash to study with Chandrasekhar Bhagavathar.[1][2]

Sathyaprakash studied in Maharaja Engineering college which , affiliated to Anna University.

Discography

Sathyaprakash had four Carnatic music albums featuring his music (Padatha Pattillai, Jananam, Pazham née, and Soundaryam) released under the banner of Rajalakshmi Audio, a music record company.[2]
