Saunkh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Mathura district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Saunkh had a population of 8,488. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Saunkh has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 62%. In Saunkh, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age. Saunkh has the only Intermediate school in 3 km redious.
