Scărișoara (Hungarian: Aranyosfő) is a commune located in Alba County, Romania. It has a population of 1,850 (2002).[1] It is composed of fourteen villages: Bârlești, Botești, Fața-Lăzești, Florești, Lăzești (Lezest), Lespezea, Maței, Negești, Preluca, Runc, Scărișoara, Sfoartea, Știuleți and Trâncești.
