Serkan Kadir Yusein (Bulgarian: Серкан Кадир Юсеин; born 31 March 1996 in Plovdiv) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Botev Plovdiv.[1]

Career

Born in Plovdiv, Yusein started to play football in the local club, before he joined the Botev 2002 Academy. He made his professional career in Botev Plovdiv on 13 March 2013 in match against Minyor Pernik.[2] Serkan Yusein was included for the first time in the starting lineup of Botev Plovdiv during goalless draw with CSKA Sofia on 11 May 2014.[3]

Serkan Yusein scored his first goal for Botev Plovdiv on 23 September 2014. On this day he came on as a substitute and scored the last goal for the 0-4 away win against Lokomotiv Mezdra in the first round of the Bulgarian Cup tournament.[4] A few days later, on 27 September, he came on as a substitute during the derby match with Lokomotiv Plovdiv which was won by Botev Plovdiv with 2-0.[5] On 14 December Serkan played 57 minutes and made a good performance during the 1-0 defeat form Ludogorets Razgrad.[6]

Serkan was injured for the first two rounds of season 2015-16 in A Grupa. After that he took part in the games against Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Pirin Blagoevgrad, Slavia Sofia and Cherno More Varna. [7][8][9][10] After missing several games Serkan was again included in the starting lineup on 30 October when Botev Plovdiv was defeated with 2-0 by Slavia Sofia.[11]
