Sherida Spitse (Dutch pronunciation: [ʃeːˈridaː ˈspɪtsə]; born 29 May 1990) is a Dutch football midfielder currently playing for LSK Kvinner FK in Norway. She is a member of the senior Netherlands women's national football team.

Career

Spitse made her senior international debut in August 2006; a 4–0 World Cup qualifying defeat against England. She was still playing in a boy's team with VV Sneek.[3]

In June 2013 national team coach Roger Reijners selected Spitse in the Netherlands squad for UEFA Women's Euro 2013 in Sweden.[4]

In 2013 was announced that she would transfer to LSK Kvinner FK in Norway. For this transfer money was paid, for the first time in Dutch women's soccer.[5][6][7]

Spitse became a Norwegian League and Cup champion at the end of the 2014 season with LSK Kvinner, as well as qualifying for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup with the Netherlands national team. She was also voted on to Norway's Team of the Year at the annual NISO awards ceremony in Oslo. [8]
