Simran Mahendrawal (born 13 October 1995) is an Indian model, television personality and beauty pageant titleholder from Uttarakhand.

Early and education

Simran was born in Mussoorie, a hill station and municipal board in Dehradun district in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. She attended Wynberg Allen School near Kurli in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand and moved to New Delhi for her higher education. While in New Delhi she attended Lakshmibai College, a constituent college of the University of Delhi, located in the neighbourhood of Ashok Vihar.[1][2]

Career

She started modelling in her college days and was crowned 2nd Runner up at Clean and Clear Delhi Times Fresh Face 2013 held at Lakshmibai College in New Delhi.[3]

In the year 2014, she entered the seventh season of MTV Splitsvilla, a Indian dating reality show televised by MTV India, held in June 2014 at Samode Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was elimintated by the fellow contestant and the king, Shravan Reddy.[4][5] Later she competed at Femina Miss India Delhi 2015 and was awarded with the title "Hyatt Regency Gurgaon Miss Congeniality" at the grand finale of the contest held in Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon.[6] The contest was won by Apeksha Porwal from New Delhi.[7][8][9]

In 2015, she competed at Indian Princess 2015 held on May 24, 2015 at Rangsit University in Bangkok, Thailand and was chosen to represent India at Top Model of the World 2015.[10][11] She represented India at Top Model of the World 2015 contest held on September 4, 2015 at El Gouna Resort in Red Sea, Egypt but remained unplaced. The Contest was won by Elena Kosmina of Ukraine.[12][13][14]
