Sitka, Indiana

Sitka is an unincorporated community in White County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[1]

History

A post office called Sitka was established in 1877, and remained in operation until 1903.[2] A small general store was opened soon after the post office.[3] The community most likely was named after Sitka, Alaska.[4]
