Sloviansk Raion (Ukrainian: Слов'янський район) is one of the 33 raions of Donetsk Oblast, located in southeastern Ukraine. The administrative center of the raion is the city of Sloviansk, which is separately incorporated as a city of oblast significance and does not belong to the raion. Population: 34,115 (2013 est.)[1].

2014 fighting
On 2 May 2014, armed clashes were reported in and around Sloviansk with reported casualties, including killed and wounded, and downed helicopters.[3]
