Komsomolske (Ukrainian: Комсомольське, Russian: Комсомольское) is a city in Starobesheve Raion, Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population is 12,813 (2001).
Starting Mid-April 2014 pro-Russian separatists captured several towns in Donetsk Oblast;[1][2] including Komsomolske.[3] On 29 August 2014, Ukrainian forces reportedly secured the city from the pro-Russian separatists.[4] But on 31 August, it had fallen to the separatists again.[5]
