Sonia Singh (born June 11, 1991) is an Indian-Norwegian model and beauty pageant titleholder from Oslo.

Early life and education

Sonia was born in Oslo, Norway to Sikh Punjabi parents. Later, she moved to London and studied Psychology at the Birkbeck, University of London, upon finishing her degree she returned back to Norway.^[1]

Career and pageantry

She started modelling while she was studying Psychology in London. In 2014, she participated in Miss India Worldwide Scandinavia, the preliminary for Miss India Worldwide contest in Scandinavia and was crowned Miss India Norway 2014 at the conclusion of the event held on March 1, 2014 at Berwaldhallen in the Östermalm district of Stockholm, Sweden.^[2] She represented Norway at Miss India Worldwide 2015 and was crowned "Miss Catwalk" at the grand finale held on June 20, 2014 at the Al Raha Beach Resort in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The pageant was won by Monica Gill from the USA.^[3][4]

In 2015, she competed at Miss Universe Norway 2015 and was crowned 2nd Runner Up during the grand finale of the pageant held on August 30, 2015 at Åpen Scene in Oslo, Norway. The contest was won by Martine Rødseth.^[5][6][7][8]

On October 5, 2015, she travelled to Thailand to represent Norway at Miss Grand International 2015 held on October 25, 2015 at Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand.^[9][10][11]

Later in November 2015, she travelled to Poland as Norway's representative for Miss Supranatioanal 2015 held on December 4, 2015 at Mosir Hall (Hall of Sports), Krynica-Zdrój in Poland.^{[12][13][14][15][16]}
