Souder is an unincorporated community in northern Ozark County, Missouri. It is thirteen miles north of Gainesville and is located on county road 142 north of Route 95.
Souder post office was established in 1903 and named for the family name of the first postmaster.[2][3] The post office closed in the 1990s. It was turned into a store which in now closed, but owned by Janet and Rory Bright. Mail is now served by Wasola. The old school house is still standing but poorly maintained. The Souder church still holds service. It is on Spring Creek about three miles upstream (west) of Rockbridge.[1]
