"Soul Deep" was the third single taken from Swedish pop duo Roxette's 1986 debut album Pearls of Passion. It was only released in a few European countries and Canada.[1] The single peaked at #18 on the charts in Sweden,[2] but failed to chart elsewhere.

The song was originally written in Swedish and was called "Dansar ner för ditt stup i rekordfart" but that title was considered too silly.[1] Per Gessle wrote new lyrics in English and eventually Roxette recorded it for their debut album and for their 1987 single. "Soul Deep" was re-arranged and remixed for release on the Joyride album from 1991. This remix was also included on the RoxBox compilation.

The song "Pearls of Passion" was included as a B-Side to "Queen of Rain" but was not included on any album until the re-issue of Pearls of Passion in 1997.[1]

Melody of the song is referenced to "Before It's Too Late" performed by Jackie Day in 1967.
