South Fork (Mono: qohnihihna )[2] is an unincorporated community in Madera County, associated with the neighboring town of North Fork California.[1] It is located 9 miles (14 km) south-southeast of Shuteye Peak,[3] at an elevation of 2651 feet (808 m).[1] South Fork lacks a post-office or any distinguishing features aside from a motel resembling one featured in a celebrated Alfred Hitchcock film.
