Sphenophryne cornuta (horned land frog) is a species of frog in the Microhylidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Sphenophryne.[2] It is found in most of New Guinea, both in the Indonesian and Papua New Guinean parts.[3] Its natural habitats are tropical moist lowland forests, moist montane forests, rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forest.[1]
Sphenophryne cornuta breeds by direct development, and the male carries its babies on its back.[1]
