Springbrook, Alberta
Springbrook is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within Red Deer County.[1] It is located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) west of Highway 2A, approximately 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) southwest of Red Deer. Springbrook is also recognized by Statistics Canada as a designated place.[2]
Springbrook is the home of the Penhold Air Cadet Summer Training Centre (PACSTC). The PACSTC was formerly Canadian Forces Base Penhold.
Demographics
As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Springbrook had a population of 1,079 living in 378 of its 408 total dwellings, a 12.9% change from its 2006 population of 956. With a land area of 5.31 km2 (2.05 sq mi), it had a population density of 203.20/km2 (526.3/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
