Sri Sairam Engineering college (SEC) is a Engineering Institution located in the suburbs of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Institution earned ISO 9001:2000 Certification from Bureau Veritas Quality International, and is accredited by AICTE. It has recently been in the media for its oppressive rules and actions against its students. A large number of protests have happened inside the college campus in relation to the violent methods used by the college to ensure discipline. Students protested in Anna University against the college authorities.

Campus locality

The college started functioning from 1996 at a temporary location in Valasaravakkam in the suburbs of Chennai. Sairam moved to this 25 acre campus at Sai Leo Nagar,West Tambaram Chennai in 1998.
