Saint Augustine's High School is a Catholic High School in Hunt End in the town of Redditch, Worcestershire, England. The school was opened in 1974. Saint Augustine's became a Science College in 2006[1][2] but lost this status in July 2013. The school converted to academy status on 1 July 2014.

The school is part of the three tier system, serving as the High School stage, teaching children from the ages of 13-18 (year 9 to year 13). In 2007, 80% of the Year 11 students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE. The average A level point score per student was 333, the highest in the county and in the history of the school, whilst 46.4% of A2 grades were at A and B.[2] An April 2009 Ofsted inspection granted the school a grade 2 (Good) assessment, stating that standards are above average while some points were graded as having outstanding features.[1]

The school has a Maths Block named 'The Canterbury Suite'. The opening was attended by the Jacqui Smith, the former MP for Redditch and former Home Secretary.

St. Augustine's is the oldest continuously operating High School in Redditch, and the name has remained unchanged since it was opened in September 1974. Although Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre occupies the former site of the Abbey High School, formerly the Redditch County High School established in 1932, the current school only opened in 2001.

Feeder schools

The majority of students come from St. Bede's Catholic Middle School in the Lodge Park area of Redditch. St. Bede's is the only Catholic Middle School in Redditch. Some students also come from Ridgeway Middle School, Church Hill Middle School, and Walkwood Middle School.
