Stary Toruń [ˈstarɨ ˈtɔruɲ] (Old Toruń) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zławieś Wielka, within Toruń County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.[1] It lies approximately 9 km (6 mi) west of Toruń.
The village is the original place of the location of Toruń in 1233, from where it had been translocated into contemporary place after approximately 3 years. Accordning to historical sources there had been Teutonic Order stronghold together with settlement and church (demolished in XVI-th century). The exact location of that settlement remains unknown until today.
