Stranda Church (Norwegian: Stranda kyrkje), also known as Sløgstad Church, is a parish church in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Stranda, along the western shore of the Storfjorden. The church is part of the Stranda parish in the Austre Sunnmøre deanery in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden, octagonal church was built in 1838 to replace an older church on the site. There has been a church at this site for centuries. The earliest known church on the site was a stave church that was destroyed in 1731 by a small tsunami caused by a rockslide into the fjord.[1][2]
