Studio Moderna

Studio Moderna Group is an e-commerce and direct-to-consumer advertising company, primarily operating across Central and Eastern Europe.[1]

The company was founded in Slovenia in 1992 by Sandi Cesko, Branimir Brkljac and Livija Dolanc.

The company operates throughout Central and Eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine) as well as UK, USA, Canada, and it employs around 6000 people.

Funding

In 2011, global growth equity firm General Atlantic acquired a minority stake in the company, joining Insight Venture Partners, Templeton Strategic Emerging Markets Fund III, and JH Partners.[2]

Brands

Studio Moderna is also a brand owner. Kosmodisk is a back pain relief device from Serbia, and was the first product the company sold.

Its retail chain Top Shop comprises 20 different websites, live TV shopping, and its own retail stores. Dormeo is a mattress and bedding brand. Dormeo launched Italian-made memory foam mattresses in 22 countries and has expanded into a range of home products for bedroom and bathroom. The company markets Dormeo Octaspring, a memory foam spring mattress technology, in the USA,[3][4] Canada, and Japan.

Bigfish Folding Bike is a folding bike that contains the company's proprietary "Smart Folding" technology. The first generation of Bigfish was launched in 2009, with the new Bigfish Line and Wave launched in 2013.

Delimano, launched in 2012, is a range of Italian-made ceramic-coated cookware.

Stilago / Studio Moderna Fashion Group is an e-commerce fashion club.
