By decree of 15.05.1970 the municipal commissioner of the Military Government D. Manuel Miguel Mujica required the Board of Genealogy and Heraldry of Buenos Aires creating a shield, which was approved. It refers to the fact that names weapons to the people and to the patron of the same Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
Cheese Route
This tradition started around 1915 with the first Basque settlers who occupied the countryside, clearly engaged in milk production. Plenty of water, or better said, a lot of milk ran from that time to this day.
In all these years, milk production in the region went through highs and lows, but certainly these changes have allowed the actors throughout the dairy chain (primary production, industry and marketing), adapt to changing market demands and technologies thus allowing developing cheese and dairy products of high quality, respecting those ancient recipes, to offer the gourmet sector highest level in our country.
Cheese Route is then the tribute that our small community, pays traveler transiting this section of National Route 5, offering "in situ" the fruit of our best: our cheeses; in its many shapes and forms: hard or soft cheeses, spreads or grated, sliced or in portions; cow, goat, sheep or buffalo milk; alone or in combination with other flavors or products; for you. you can tour this delightful sensory world, which is generated around the cheese, and place of origin.
Unlike other sightseeing, we are one of the only food routes in the area that offers the visit to the production process, which means an added value that our visitors appreciate a lot.
In addition, as the project originated tourism in Suipacha, we are declared of Provincial Interest by the Ministry of Land Affairs of the Province of Buenos Aires.
After just over a year of operation, we have received a lot of praise and constructive criticism from which we have learned, of the 1,500 people who visited us. All stress that despite being young as a project, we provide a service that meets your expectations and we have had a great experience in a short time.
We are over 80 people working on this project closely, making great efforts to give the best of us.
We have several projects that are derived by operating or will soon, like cheese or project Suipacha "Quesero for a Day", to be released soon.
And as a finishing touch to all this, each of the members of the Cheese Route is recognized locally, regionally and even nationally for the excellent quality of its products.
