Future Plans
In 2016 it is anticipated that Swindon Stadium will be demolished, and that greyhound racing will move to a new site. The current plot of land the stadium is situated on is expected to become a new housing development, while the new Abbey Stadium will consist of new facilities for the Swindon Robins' riders. The new stadium is expected to cost in the price range of £5 million and will continue to preview greyhound racing. The plans were released on the 13 June 2007.
