Szymiszów [ʂɨˈmiʂuf] (German: Schimischow, 1936-1945 Heuerstein O.S.) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Strzelce Opolskie, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Strzelce Opolskie and 28 km (17 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village has a population of 2,100.
