Tarnawa Górna [tarˈnava ˈɡurna] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zembrzyce, within Sucha County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) west of Zembrzyce, 8 km (5 mi) north-west of Sucha Beskidzka, and 44 km (27 mi) south-west of the regional capital Kraków.
The village was established by Vlachs in the 17th century and was initially known as Rzedz or Rec.[2]
