Tathagata Mukherjee is an Indian Bengali language film and television actor. Currently he is seen as the main lead in Star Jalsha's Mon Niye Kachakachi.
Early life
Tathagata Mukherjee studied at the Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School, and thereafter studied drama at Rabindra Bharati University. He has done professional theater for 12 years, since his childhood. He did 3 years yatra with legendary Chapal Bhaduri.
Career
He started his career as film actor in a film called "laal ronger duniya"(2007),as protagonist.produced by Kaustav Roy.the film was adopted from a famous novel written by rupak saha.in 2008 he started his television career as a hero in a daily soap called "sada patay kalo daag"another best selling novel by Rupak Saha.after that he has done many telefilms,and daily soap in various channel."bou kotha kao" was turning point of his career,produced by ravi ojha production. In 2012 Tathagata debuted his first directorial venture for Sony.Mukherjee starred in Laonyer Sangsar which also starred Joyjit Bannerjee and Rahul Banerjee (actor) in other pivotal roles. He did a cameo role in Agnipariksha. Tathagata played the lead role in Arindam Sil-directed TV-series Choukath, opposite Debolina Dutta, which aired on Ruposhi Bangla.[1] Tathagata essayed the role of reporter Debabrata Bose, alias, Dev in Raashi. He is playing the lead role in Mon Niye Kachakachi as Ranbir Kapoor, opposite to Basabdatta Chatterjee.
