Tawęcino [tavɛnˈt͡ɕinɔ] (German Tauentzien) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowa Wieś Lęborska, within Lębork County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) north of Nowa Wieś Lęborska, 12 km (7 mi) north of Lębork, and 63 km (39 mi) north-west of the regional capital Gdańsk.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles. For details of the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
