Terranuova Bracciolini is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Arezzo in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) southeast of Florence and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Arezzo. As of 31 December 2013, it had a population of 12,401 and an area of 85.4 square kilometres (33.0 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Terranuova Bracciolini contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Campogialli, Castiglione Ubertini, Cicogna, Doccio, Malva, Montalto, Montemarciano, Penna, Persignano, Piantravigne, Tasso, Traiana, Treggiaia, and Ville.
Terranuova Bracciolini borders the following municipalities: Castelfranco di Sopra, Castiglion Fibocchi, Laterina, Loro Ciuffenna, Montevarchi, Pergine Valdarno, San Giovanni Valdarno.
Known historically as just Terranuova, the municipality was the birthplace in 1380 of the famed early humanist Poggio Bracciolini, for which it was renamed in 1862.
