Veeramarasanpettai is a taluk of Thanjavur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Thanjavur which is also the seat of the district administration.

The taluk is further divided into two revenue blocks: Budalur and Thanjavur.

According to the 2011 census, the taluk of Thanjavur had a population of 510,411 with 253,723 males and 256,688 females. There were 1012 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 78.51. Child population in the age group below 6 was 23,251 Males and 21,749 Females.[1]
