The twelfth season of The Bachelorette stars Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher, a 25-year-old real estate developer from Dallas, Texas.[1] Fletcher was the runner up on the The Bachelor season 20. The season is set to premiere on May 23, 2016.[2]
Filming and development
Casting and contestants
Casting began during season eleven of The Bachelorette. Days before the official announcement, The Bachelor season 20 finalist and second runner-up Caila Quinn was originally selected to be in the lead role,[3] but she was dropped at the last minute for Fletcher by the producers.[4] Filming commenced on March 16, 2016.[5]
The cast will include Jordan Rodgers, younger brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.[6]
