Carly's boyfriend, Marlon Reed, is the owner of £500 stolen from Morientes at the party, for admission. Marlon is found attacking Benton, and after a lengthy chase, Benton is arrested by Gold. He denies stabbing Morientes but confesses to mugging him. Carly reluctantly tells Smithy that Marlon was the attacker, and a dog finds a knife & blood-stained hoodie. Dwayne Fox, the father of Carly's daughter Brooke, tells CID Marlon Reed is dealing and producing crack cocaine, and Alisha says Carly was moving to Sheffield with Brooke. Marlon is found with a gun to Tito's head, and is charged with dealing & attempted murder. Tito confesses at gunpoint, but retracts it in interview. Problems mount as the investigation breaks down, and a wall of silence falls on the Jasmine Allen. Part Three- Breaking Point: Nate and Diane attend when Dr. Adam Tyler is attacked and robbed of his surgery keys. Local addict Brendan Connor confesses he robbed Tyler, but denies attacking him, and claims he was thrown from a car, which is backed up by CCTV. Tyler and his partner, Dr. Rachel Cartwright, are found in the middle of a disturbance, and they are revealed to have been involved in aiding the recovery of two injured burglars. The victim is also stabbed, and a race against time to find the injured victim and burglar is launched. Leanne Samuels reveals her psychic Dawn Stanley, knows about Tito's involvement through her boyfriend Pete Oldman. A gun is discharged, and Tito is arrested again. Nate investigates a series of burglaries, including one at the Samuels residence. The suspect appears to be a criminal's son, who had a crush on Carly, and wanted to leave his abusive father. Alisha Daniels runs out of the funeral during a moving speech, and is brought in. A pair of shoes used to dump the weapon are traced to none other than Dwayne Fox, and Alisha finally cracks, breaking Tito's alibi. CID arrange raids on Dwayne and Tito. Part Five- Protection: Meadows launches the raid on Dwayne Fox's home, and Nixon coordinates one at Tito Morientes'. Tito is arrested, but Dwayne isn't home. Dwayne's mother Beverley breaks his alibi, but his boss kidnaps Brooke. Smithy and Nate use the boss in a sting, and Dwayne is arrested for his part in the shooting. Alisha's phone signal puts her at the scene of the murder, so she gives another statement. Part Six- Hit & Run: Uniform go all out to track down the hit and run car. Roger and Tony locate the Cougar in the Area Car, but the pursuit is abandoned when it goes off-road. The car owner claims he was attacked by a child, and it is confirmed as CID find youngster Danny Pearce on CCTV. He is interviewed in the presence of his brother Joel, who disappears when it is revealed the car wasn't destroyed. Alisha identifies Joel as the third drive-by suspect, but her father Oscar gets there first. Joel agrees to give evidence, to the delight of CID, Smithy and Leanne. Her boyfriend, Raheem Woods is the suspect. When Wood is arrested, he smashes his face into a cell wall, claiming it was Nate. He is released by Gold, but riles the estate up about 'police brutality'. The judge consents for Alisha to give her evidence. A mob try to attack her leaving the estate, and a group of yobs bombard Reg & Beth with bricks whilst in the mobile unit. The estate backlash goes on when the IRV transporting her to court is rammed onto its roof by a mystery assailant. Part Eight- The Final Act: Tony and Emma quickly break Smithy, Alisha & Oscar Daniels out of the crashed IRV. Back on the estate, Will & Diane get Reg & Beth out of the mobile unit after it comes under attack. A full scale riot kicks off on the Jasmine Allen, but Alisha gets to court. Davdra goes full on to destroy her reputation. Nate is abducted by Raheem Woods and Spencer Wright, the driver of the car in the IRV attack, so Smithy leaves court to rescue him with Stone. Woods gives evidence that states Tito wasn't holding the gun that killed Carly, and that the shooting was Dwayne's idea.
