DVD releases

Warner Home Video has released all 6 seasons of The Flintstones animated series on DVD in Region 1. Only the first 3 seasons have been released in Region 2 and Region 4, and it is unknown if or when the final 3 seasons will be brought to DVD. Also released by Warner Home Video is a feature-length film starring the Flintstones entitled The Man Called Flintstone. It was initially available in Canada only, as a US release was canceled due to Columbia Pictures claiming ownership of the film. However, the ownership issues had been resolved and a DVD release in the US happened on December 2, 2008. The Christmas special A Flintstones Christmas Carol was released on October 2, 2007, and includes as a bonus, the episode Christmas Flintstone from Season 5 of the original series.

  • The Big Move episode is syndicated version not original. This is the only syndicated version on any of the DVDs.
  • Closing credits are accurate, but openings are only accurate until Pebbles was born. Even after the birth of Pebbles the original openings and closings still did not show her and the work whistle was still the noise of a bird, but the syndicated versions as well as this DVD show the Season 4 opening showing Pebbles and employing the horn sounding 5 oclock whistle beginning with episode 84, Carry On Nurse Fred.

  • End Credits are accurate but Show openings are only accurate on the first three episodes. Originally, when Bamm Bamm was added, the openings and closings still continued to only show the Flintstones with Pebbles. But in the DVD edition the opening is actually from season 5 showing the Flintstones and Rubbles with Pebbles and Bamm Bamm.

  • The Great Gazoo: From A to Zetox
  • Openings have an incorrect audio version of Flintstones Meet The Flintstones. Originally the song had an echo effect on the final season but the version without the echo was still used on the DVD. Closing credits including the several episodes where Let the Sunshine In was substituted in the end credits is accurate.
