Verdi, the King of Melody (Italian: Giuseppe Verdi, also known as The Life and Music of Giuseppe Verdi and Verdi) is a 1953 Italian biographical drama film directed by Raffaello Matarazzo. It is based on real life events of the composer Giuseppe Verdi.^[1] The film was a commercial success, grossing over 957 millions lire at the Italian box office.^[2]
