Robert Ornelas
Robert Ornelas of the American Independent Party was selected[1] by the delegates in 2012[2] for his support of Israel[3] and current activism throughout the country. First time in the history[4] of the United States that a hip-hop artist and Latino[5] with Mexican descent ran[6] for the office of the U.S. Vice President.[7] Ornelas[8] is the great-great-great-grandson of Chief Cristobal Osuna from a tribe in the San Diego Mountains circa the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo (1848).[9]
